Improving Broker Profitability
Many brokerages are struggling with razor-thin margins in these tough economic times and it's hard to know if it is just the challenging market conditions or if there is also an opportunity to manage the business more efficiently. This class is designed to help broker/owners better run their business and increase their profitability. Our educational objectives are to help a broker/owner: 1. Understand what is really going on in the overall Denver Market vs. the media hype. 2. Get insight to how typical agent commission performance in 2007 vs. 2006. 3. Grasp how an income statement measures the financial performance of your firm. See how your firm's financial performance compares to other companies. 4. Visualize the linkage between your firm's profitability and it's value if you sold it. Once we have set the stage, our goal is to help the broker owner: 1. Calculate how much you can improve your profitability and your firm's value. 2. Establish and prioritize the action steps to improve your profits and value. 3. Think through your options and chart your best course forward. 4. Meet some other brokers who are interested in sharing ideas. 5. Continue to participate in other DBR events. Denver Metro Real Estate Market Trends
This class provides an analytical overview of the major real estate trends in our Denver Metro residential market. Property records and data are reviewed at many different levels (neighborhood, zip code, town, region, etc.) in order to gain a deep understanding of the local real estate conditions. In addition, we compare historical data with current economic data to try to predict what lies ahead. You will leave this session with a solid understanding of the residential and income housing market in and around Denver and which areas have had the best and worst appreciation. The data will show that the time is becoming right to invest in Denver and the trends for the next few years suggest that today's real estate investors who understand what the market is telling them are poised to do very well over the next few years.
